If your dream wedding venue has that real southwestern feel with gorgeous scenery that you can only find in Arizona, first of all, you’re kinda my dream client. Second of all, this wedding venue in Tucson has quite literally everything you could possibly want for a classic Arizona wedding. As a Tucson wedding videographer who has been to a LOT of Tucson wedding venues, this one might just be the one for you if you’re dreaming of a southwestern wedding!
Tanque Verde Ranch: A Wedding Venue in Tucson With All The Southwestern Feels
Gorgeous mountain backdrops, tons of saguaro cacti, and iconic Arizona sunsets are just a few of the things that make Tanque Verde Ranch a great choice for your wedding venue in Tucson. If you’re craving that classic, quintessential Arizona wedding vibe, Tanque Verde Ranch might just be the Arizona wedding venue for you! And let’s be real, as a Tucson wedding videographer, I know that no matter how gorgeous a venue may be, you also have to think about the logistics before you decide to go with it. So, I’m giving you all the extra details you might need to know about the Tucson wedding venue here!

If you’re dreaming of that big party vibe, they’ve got you covered
Tanque Verde Ranch is a fantastic place to host a huge celebration. If you’re wanting a wedding day that feels like a party, this wedding venue in Tucson has the perfect spot for you! There are several venues (more on that later) at the space that have a 300-person capacity. Talk about a huge celebration! If that’s your vibe, one, I love that for you, and two, I definitely want to join in on the party!

It’s perfect for a destination wedding
Again, Arizona has a charm that you can only find here. You won’t get that vintage southwestern feeling anywhere else in the world, so Arizona is a great place to host a destination wedding! And Tanque Verde Ranch in the Sonoran Desert brings it all together: the beauty of Arizona scenery and that southwestern feel, all while being a fantastic and easy-to-work-with wedding venue.

The getting-ready rooms give you stunning views before the ceremony even starts
Okay, so while the getting-ready rooms don’t always matter too much, the ones here are just too iconic to NOT bring up. Imagine spending your morning getting ready surrounded by stunning mountain views right outside the window. You’ll get that Arizona magic literally all day long at Tanque Verde Ranch.

There are so many stunning venue spaces to choose from
Quite possibly, my favorite thing about the venue is that there are so many different spaces to choose from for your ceremony and reception. And each one? Drop-dead gorgeous. Honestly, I couldn’t choose a favorite even if I tried. I’ll give you a quick overview of each of them here:
The Barn:
Think rustic elegance and rugged beauty. The Barn at Tanque Verde Ranch has floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Saguaro National Park that I’ll never get over. It’s a gorgeous rustic grand dining room on the inside with a sprawling lawn (overlooking the most breathtaking mountain views) on the outside. It not only is gorgeous, but it’s the perfect place to hold a huge party with a maximum capacity of 300 guests!

Saguaro:
Saguaro at Tanque Verde Ranch is southwestern vibes to the max. The natural stone fireplace, the grand staircase, the southwest chandeliers, and the flagstone patio?! Absolutely stunning and so, so charming. If this is more your vibe but you’re still dreaming of a big celebration, don’t worry! This space can hold up to 150 people comfortably.
Cactus View:
It isn’t called Cactus View for no reason; you’re literally surrounded by cacti here, and it’s an Arizona wedding dream. Imagine standing on a wooden deck in the Sonoran desert surrounded by mesquite trees draped with twinkling lights, with the sunset painting the stunning Arizona mountains behind you. That’s getting married at Cactus View. If that feels more your vibe, this venue can hold 120 comfortably.

Rincon Terrace:
Sticking with the outside vibe, if you love the look of the mountains and cacti, you’ll want to check out Rincon Terrace for sure. This Tanque Verde Ranch venue has panoramic views of the Arizona scenery, anchored by a natural stone fireplace that screams understated elegance. If you’re using this space for a reception, it’s better for a bit of a smaller feel, seating 75 comfortably.
Desert View Terrace:
Getting married in front of a desert view? Yes please. This raised terrace gives you a 360º view of the Sonoran desert, and the only thing that will be more beautiful than the views is your love! Oh, and did I mention that there’s a rock waterfall at the entrance? If you think that this Tucson wedding venue can’t get any more perfect, it can hold 120 people, a great amount for celebrating your day!
Cottonwood Grove:
If you really want to feel the Old West on your wedding day, Cottonwood Grove is everything with its rustic deck and tall trees. Side note: this venue has a fire pit, so it’s perfect for including a late night s’mores session on the timeline, which I would 100% recommend as a Tucson wedding photographer. This one also holds 300, so it’s the perfect rustic woodsy party spot to celebrate your love!
Old Homestead:
Now this venue… It just screams southwestern charm. It’s an ode to rich history, a 1930s stone home on a hill overlooking the most beautiful scenery. At this venue, you can feel the love that this house has spent almost a century creating. Being fairly small, it’s better suited for an intimate wedding, and at that, one where you really want to be surrounded by history and love.

You’ll get the cutest couple’s portraits
If you can’t tell by now, every which way you look in this wedding venue in Tucson, you’re seeing drop-dead gorgeous views. There are spots for your couple’s portraits that look like they came straight out of Pinterest at each and every venue at Tanque Verde Ranch! My #1 tip for getting married here, as a Tucson wedding videographer is: even if you don’t choose it as your ceremony space, getting photos at Old Homestead is a MUST. This space is gorgeous, with panoramic scenic views.

Fall and spring weddings are perfect here
Arizona weather is the dreamiest. To beat the most extreme weather that we get here, you may want to opt for a fall or spring wedding. You’ll get both the mildest weather and, realistically, the most beautiful views. Charming new blooms in the spring, and gorgeous deep colors in the fall. You can’t go wrong with any season, but as an Arizona wedding videographer, I do have to say these are my personal faves.

Abby and Ben’s Tanque Verde Ranch Wedding
This wedding was straight up-dreamy, and if I haven’t convinced you yet to get married at Tanque Verde Ranch, this Southwestern wedding might. Abby and Ben said “I do” at Cactus View before making their way to their (super fun) reception at The Barn. Every part of their day turned out so perfectly. Even despite all the beauty and all the fun, my favorite part was capturing the way these two looked at each other. Every laugh, every small touch, and every soft smile just showed how special this day was for them, and getting to capture it fly-on-the-wall style was such an honor.

The couple’s day all fell into place so well, and there is no one to thank for that other than their amazing vendors. If you do choose to get married at Tanque Verde Ranch (or another wedding venue in Tucson), believe me when I say this is a dream team:
